But the software itself just involves a bunch of forms and a little bit of flash, I think, so there's no reason that it shouldn't work as well on Linux as it does on other platforms. I think it's pretty fascist because it basically just checks the user-agent of the web browser and if it sees that it's not Windows or OS X, it refuses to work. TurboTax could be Linux-friendly because as far as I know, it's all browser-based now so it should be operating-system-independent. There's also TaxGeek which I've heard good things about, but again have not used personally. ![]() There's GNUcash, but I think that's meant for general accounting more than tax preparation in any case I've never used it. Is there any Linux friendly tax software out there where you wouldn't have to use wine?
